Posted by 6 years ago Hey everyone. To anyone having ANY trouble getting this library (or ANY other east-west library for that matter) to work, I'm about to relieve you of a HUGE headache. I PROMISE YOU, you will no longer suffer ( MAC USERS ALSO, so listen up) OK, Step by step: 1. First, take a DEEP breath.
Omnisphere Colossus II is a collection of 400 patches and 70 multis for Omnisphere 2. This library is the follow-up to my 2016 best-seller, Omnisphere Colossus, and. EWQL Colossus - The Best of, selection of instruments 14 Instruments. And unfortunately I have not kept the Colossus install exe nor keygen. Colossus by EastWest is a Virtual Instrument Audio Plugin. It includes, and is therefore 'powered by', Kompakt, which functions as a VST Plugin, an Audio Units Plugin.
I know you've been stressing over this wonderful, but outdated, software. Download Kontakt 5 from: 3. Now guess what? Every Kontakt-compatible library (EVERY SINGLE ONE, from a $50 library, to a $1,300 library) that is available right now, WILL LOAD PERFECTLY in this Kontakt. Aams Auto Mastering License more. Without the need of any activation) 4.
For legacy libraries, including the, now legacy, Kompakt libraries (East West Symphonic Orchestra, East West Colossus, East West Storm Drum, etc. Etc.) You have just one more step: - Copy the library somewhere ( you can put it in the same folder as your, now flourishing, Kontakt Library). And load the 'Instruments' individually ( for example, the very lovely 'Rhodes 88 Suitcase.nki' from Colossus.) That's IT! Take another deep breath.
Cuz you're DONE. [Ohhh and btw, for people who are in my boat -- who are trying to get my old legacy East West Kompakt libraries to work on lovely new Mac ------ You'll need this guy here: Good luck, and make LOTS of music] Plus, if you make lots of money with this software -- Just before buying that new mansion, go back and buy the software that got you there! -unku Posted by 6 years ago kontakt is bloody good but the samples of colossus will never breathe perfectly with it. The samples are not designed natively for kontakt player.
It's not the same. Fonyo @ Fo Records Posted by 6 years ago No way!
I have EW Symphonic Orchestra, Colossus, and StormDrum on my Kontakt 5 library as we speak. (In the actual library, with pictures and everything) All I had to do was copy the 'EWQLSO Gold Library', 'Stormdrum Library', and 'Colossus Library' into my Kontakt 5 Library folder, I made some custom graphics for each library (all you have to do is throw in a picture named 'wallpaper.png' into each folder -- i made mine custom in photoshop) and click Add Library in Kontakt, & select the library folder. It has a bit of a glitch at first where it will do nothing.
Then you close and reopen Kontakt and it's there. Graphic and all. You can select all the instruments right out of the drop-down menu just like any other modern Kontakt 5 Library! Plus, Kontakt 5 handles resources MUCH BETTER than the old Kompakt Player, so you'll be conserving RAM by using my method. Cheers Posted by 6 years ago If anyone wants my custom graphics for these Kontakt 5 Ports, just pm me. They look sharp.
For the incredulous: Posted by 6 years ago i got them to work! But how do you set the attack/decay/cutoff etc. For the samples in kontakt? Posted by 6 years ago @jeffyzai: Unfortunately you don't. It's the price you pay to have everything consolidated. But in all honesty, east west libraries are generally meant to be used as is -- they don't sound very good when messed with since in its default setting it sounds closest to realistic.
