I can't get C&C Generals/Zero Hour to run on Windows 10!:( At first, the problem was a permission error would pop up saying something like access denied/no permission. However, I realised that if I right clicked on the game icon and selected 'run as administrator' Windows would then allow the game to continue to open. Unfortunately the game doesn't start up. I've tried the combatablilty wizard but still no joy.

AMAZING NEWS. I GOT IT TO WORK!!!! Basically, I DO believe that the original version of C&C Generals simply will not run on Windows 10 as the Microsoft Support Engineer stated. However I decided to roll the dice and buy the C&C Ultimate Collection, as I had noted that it boasted ’17 titles updated to run on Windows 7’ Now I know that Windows 10 isn’t Windows 7, however, I thought there would be more chance that it would run and it does! Just one click downloaded and installed both C&C Generals & C&C Generals Zero Hour on to my Windows 10 Laptop too! So that’s the answer guys Get a copy of C&C Ultimate Collection.
