Straight from the collegeboard, any calculator (except those that are practically computers and have text readouts over 1 inch) is allowed on any collegeboard exams that allow it: SAT I Math and SAT II are the only SAT tests that do. The reason I know for a FACT you are allowed to use calculators with stored formulas, in addition to the fact that collegeboard makes no mention of it anywhere and thus you cannot be 'legally held accountable as cheating for it' is because a group of MIT students actually designed programs for students to use on the SAT I or II and sold them to students.

Newsday, or wherever this story came from, stated that this was 100% legal and OK for the students since programs ARE INDEED allowed on collegeboard exams allowing the calculators that can read them.
